I forgive Me for,
The Untold Truth
The soothing lies
The running away
The betrayal in eyes I forgive Me for,
The silent tears The sleepless nights
The scars of the blade
The missing light
I forgive Me for,
The shallow days
The selfish plights
The untamed heart
The sinful life.
She was sitting on the edge of the window in her room, her hands holding the cup of coffee, listening to the howling wind outside Frank Sinatra’s You make me feel so Young playing solemnly in the background. Her body was present in the environment but her mind was lost in the serenity of that hour. She closed her eyes as the smell of coffee hit her bringing back some nostalgia.
Isn’t it funny how we most of the time let go of others but cannot let go of our past selves, we can be kind to others but not to ourselves? She was once standings on the threshold of the same dilemma. It took her a lot of courage to let go and be kind to herself and put her needs first.
And so today she remembered the past which somehow didn’t seem to bother now. She remembered the loss which somehow didn’t feel empty now. She remembered the hate which didn’t seem to matter now.
For she had finally understood the importance of forgiving the past and accepting the present while working for the future. She had finally understood the importance of love she had to give to herself before she gave it to someone else. For she had finally let go and forgive every one of her sins and finally become the Beauty from the Beast.
She smiled at her thoughts and sipped her coffee while humming along the song. The Paradise was today and she was thankful for it.
